How we use AI
Part of what you read in Gardiflora is written by AI. This page tells you which part, and where the rest comes from.
What AI writes
Care instructions for tasks, plant descriptions and the explanation behind a biodiversity score are written by AI. In the app, these texts carry a Written by AI label with the EU icon for AI-generated content. The EU AI Act asks us to show this, and you should know where gardening advice comes from anyway.
What does not come from AI
Toxicity warnings, native status, red lists, names and growing conditions come from public datasets. These include the Open Sanctuary Project, Agroscope, GBIF, the BSBI Plant Atlas, the EU list of invasive species and Ellenberg indicator values.
