Gardiflora

What is the Ecoscore?

A score from 0 to 100 that shows how ecological your garden is. Not a vague feeling, but a measurement across five criteria.

One number for what your garden does for nature

Every plant, biotope and structure in your garden earns points. Gardiflora adds them up into a score between 0 and 100, so you see at a glance how ecological your garden stands today. The more complete your garden is in Gardiflora, the more accurate the score.

Five criteria, one score

We measure pollination (which plants feed bees and butterflies), habitat (what shelter your garden offers), biodiversity (how many native species you have), soil health (which plants feed the soil) and ecological risks (any invasive species?). Each criterion gets its own score from 0 to 100. Your garden type sets the weights: a balcony leans on pollination, a large garden has more room for habitat.

From Bare Patch to Garden of Eden

Your overall score lands in one of six nature tiers. Bare Patch (0-29) is the starting point, followed by First Buds, Green Thumb, Wildlife Haven, Nature's Ally and, from 90 upward, Garden of Eden. Each tier shows where your garden stands today in its ecological journey.

How to grow your score

Add native and pollinator-friendly plants, build structures like a dead hedge or insect hotel, and leave invasive species behind. The more ecological roles your garden covers, the higher your score. Gardiflora shows the points each plant contributes, so you can work toward a richer garden on purpose.
