Since our newsletter back in March, your garden has filled in with green and bloom, and the app has grown right along with it. Over the past few months we've added a handful of handy things that help you pick the right plants and keep your garden in flower all year round.

Gardiflora now on the App Store
Good news for everyone with an iPhone: after Google Play in March, Gardiflora is now on the App Store too. You can download the app for free and get started with your garden right away.
Everything you're used to is in there: manage your plants, keep up with seasonal tasks, check your eco-score and identify plants by photo. And as always, in Dutch, French, German and English, with all plant names in your language.

Plant Finder: find plants that suit your garden
Not sure which plant belongs in that one spot? With the Plant Finder you turn it around: you describe the conditions, and Gardiflora finds the plants to match. You pick the light level, soil type, moisture and vegetation layer, and you get a list of plants that will do well there.
You can also let the results think along with your garden. Switch on "Preferably native" for species from here, "Preferably hardy" for your zone, or "Preferably filling bloom gaps" to surface exactly those plants that flower in the months when your garden currently has little colour.
You'll find the Plant Finder via the button to add a plant to your garden.
Bloom calendar: blooms all year round
Want to know whether something is flowering in your garden all year round? The Bloom calendar shows it at a glance. On the eco-score tab you'll find a circular chart with all twelve months: the thicker a segment, the more plants are in bloom that month.
That way you spot the "hungry months" straight away, the periods when bees and butterflies have little to find at your place. Tap a month to see which plants flower then, and use the Plant Finder with "Preferably filling bloom gaps" to fill them in. A garden that blooms all year round is a garden full of life.
Warnings for soil, pH and winter hardiness
The right plant in the right spot, that's what it's all about. So set your garden's conditions in the settings: your hardiness zone, your soil type and your soil pH.
From then on Gardiflora checks every plant in your garden for you. If a plant doesn't match your conditions, you'll see a warning on the plant card: not winter-hardy, wrong soil type or wrong pH. That way you avoid nasty surprises and choose, up front, the plants that will truly thrive with you.
